PRESENTATION
Dear teacher,
Our feelings are of happiness and exultation in the Lord for offering you the Booklet #67 of the series Lessons from the Word of God, whose theme is: Christian maturity - personal decision and mindset change.
When Paul was first imprisoned in Rome, he wrote to the Church at Colossae: We ask God that you may become strong with all the strength that comes from his glorious power, so that you can bear everything with patience. And joyfully give thanks to the Father, who has made you able to partake of what he has kept in the Kingdom of Light for his people (Col 1:11,12 NLT).
Paul makes us understand - not just in this text but in many other portions of Scripture - that maturity is one of God's purposes used to give us spiritual wisdom and intelligence. A mature person usually knows how to use their characteristics and skills for their goals.
With this booklet, dear reader, we offer you an immersion in the deepest sense of the term maturity. Pr. Joá Caetano, throughout the study of this cycle, will address, among other aspects, the profile of the mature church, the characteristics of maturity and the changes necessary to achieve it.
May the Lord help you as a mighty instrument in His work!
(…) to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
Ephesians 4.12,13
