PRESENTATION
Dear teacher,
______________________
Our feeling is one of joy and exultation in the Lord for offering you the Biblical Study magazine, whose theme is: Biblical Typology – The work of Christ prefigured in the Old Testament.
Biblical Typology is an essential tool for those who wish to understand the relationship between the Old and New Testaments. It reveals to us how characters, events and rituals of the old covenant prefigure the fulfillment of divine promises in Christ Jesus.
Throughout this magazine, students and teachers will be guided by metaphorical themes that point to the incarnate Word. The analysis will begin with the Tabernacle, its elements, and sacrificial system. Later, the study will move towards the occurrences confirmed in the New Testament, delve deeper into the biblical types that refer to Calvary, the resurrection, and the Holy Spirit, and culminate in a vision of the Lord’s dwelling place. This journey will provide an inspiring vision of the redemptive work, revealing the intimate connection between the old and the new covenants.
May this magazine encourage you to walk closer to the Lord, recognizing that, from the beginning, everything pointed back to Him, the author and finisher of our faith.
These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ.
Colossians 2:17 (NIV)
